Extra Melee's

-EXTRA MELEE'S-

By now, you should know how to perform a melee finisher on an opponent to gain a point bonus. However, there are other ways to perform a melee on an opponent during a match without them being in dying status. It's just slightly trickier and requires a 3rd party to activate.

Let's say an opponent is chasing you down and you're quick turning but can't get leverage on them. You can run towards a Time Bonus Crystal and stand in front of it. If your opponent runs next to it as well, you can use the melee option to punch/kick the crystal and that melee will hit your opponent as well and briefly stun them as well as deal a good amount of damage to them. This obviously requires that your opponent be foolish enough to walk within range of the melee however.

You can also perform melee's on opponents by using enemies as your 3rd party activator. If a majini is nearby, shoot him in the head and you'll have the melee option on him. If you can get your opponent near the majini, you can perform a melee that will hit both your opponent and the majini at the same time. However, this isn't as practical. It's best used somewhat randomly. Such as if you're shooting an opponent and a majini happens to walk in front of a shot and gets stunned, you can follow up by hitting the majini and your opponent at the same time now for additional damage and points.

Just be careful to not rely on this tactic as most skilled players won't fall for it the majority of the time. But, it is a viable option at times if you can sneak it in.
