Tribal Sheva Alomar
Cost to Unlock: 15,000 Points
Tribal Sheva is the second of the two alternates of Sheva available in Versus. She's a very powerful character in both modes and all around good character. In Survivors, she starts with the H&K MP5 Machine Gun, a First Aid Spray, and 3 Flash Grenades. In Slayers, she uniquely has the Longbow, a Grenade Launcher with Ice Rounds, 3 Flash Grenades, 3 Incendiary Grenades, and a First Aid Spray.
In Survivors, Tribal has the second most powerful Machine Gun. It has very little recoil and a good capacity, making it very helpful as a starting weapon. Add in Sheva's innate speed and nimble frame and she's a very well rounded character. Her Flash Grenades can also be great for setting up a quick fire rocket on a blinded opponent.
In Slayers, Tribal is one of the best characters available in this mode. Her LongBow kills any normal majini in a single hit, and has infinite ammo. This makes her invaluable for keeping a combo as well as getting a high combo in of itself. The only downside is that the bow has no aiming reticle and thus you need to learn how to aim well with the bow on your own. None the less, her flash grenades are very helpful with dealing with plagas and her Bow can take down most bosses in a decent amount of time. You can also pick up some Flash rounds if necessary and load them into her Grenade Launcher for added ease in dealing with plagas.
Against other players is where her Incendiary Grenades and Grenade Launcher really come in handy. Her Incendiary Grenades are a quick and easy stun to allow free shots on an opponent when you're out of rounds in your grenade launcher. Her Ice Rounds can freeze an opponent in place which you can have two options for dealing with the player at that point. You can shoot an arrow into them while frozen which will momentarily stun them, allowing for a second arrow to have a high chance of connecting as well which will put them in danger status if not dying.
Or you can melee them and then shoot arrows into them as they're getting up off the ground.
Either way, she can deal with other players fairly easily. However, keep in mind she does have lag in between arrow shots which can leave her very vulnerable to attack. As well, Nitrogen rounds are very precise rounds, meaning you need to be dead on to land one. So be wary.
Special Ability: Sheva's Spinning Kick is the single fastest melee finisher in the game. There is almost no startup or recovery time. Therefore she can dispatch opponents quickly and without leaving herself open to attack. However, her melee doesn't track, and therefore it can miss.
