-OIL DRUMS-
Oil drums, like the rest, work the same by shooting them and causing a reaction to harm other players with. In the case of oil drums, when shot, they will ignite a large wall of flames around and in front of them. Anyone caught in the area of effect will enter a burning animation, leaving them vulnerable to attack.
With Oil Drums, shooting it before you run through it won't help too much since you'll have to wait for the fire to die off before you can safely run through it. So your best course of action is to simply avoid the pathway with the oil drum or go around it, and only shoot them when other players enter them. Or if you feel the need, shoot them and then run around them or avoid them so you can be free to run past that area later on without worry. There are only 3 levels with Oil Drums.
Oil Drum Locations:
-Public Assembly-
1) Right below the wooden platform the agitator speaks with the megaphone on in the main game
2) To the right of where the giant red doorway is in in the main game (That kirk blows open for you at the end of 1-1)
3) In the back alleyway behind the roof of the main house in the center
-Experimental Facility-
1) At the very bottom of the level right in front of the time bonus
2) In the corner on the left of the small platform after the ramp with the small garden in the center
-Prison-
1) In the middle of the jail cells in the jail section on the left
