S.T.A.R.S. Chris

S.TA.R.S. Chris Redfield

Cost to Unlock: 13,000 Points

S.TA.R.S. Chris is the second Chris Alternate available in Versus. S.T.AR.S. Chris is one of the most powerful characters in Slayers Mode due to his arsenal. In Survivors, S.T.A.R.S starts with the SIG556 Machine Gun, a First Aid Spray, and 3 Incendiary Grenades. In Slayers, S.T.A.R.S. has the SIG556 Machine Gun, a Grenade Launcher with 12 Electric Rounds, and the S&W M29 Magnum. However, he does not start with any healing items in Slayers.

In Survivors, S.T.A.R.S. Chris is the only Chris that uses a Machine Gun instead of a Handgun. His MG is terrible when spammed because of it's high recoil which makes the accuracy on it fall through the roof. However, if you burst fire his MG instead of just hold down the button, the accuracy will remain neutral and you'll have a much better time with it. He's also the only Chris to start with Flame Grenades which can help in stunning a fleeing opponent in place to secure a shot with.

In Slayers, S.T.A.R.S. Chris is one of the best characters due to his arsenal layout. His only real drawback is that his Machine gun burns through ammo fast and he has no heal to start with. None the less, his SIG should be able to quickly dispatch normal majini in rapid succession, while his Magnum can easily dispatch bosses in record time. The Electric Rounds he holds are useful for dealing with plagas. While not as good as flash grenades, 2 Electric Rounds will kill any plaga except Duvalia who takes 3-4 to kill.

Against other players, S.T.A.R.S. is one of the best. If another player is bothering you, simply fire an electric round into them and then quickly switch to your Magnum and fire two shots into them. They will enter dying status immediately and they'll be out of your hair for the time being.

Special Ability: His Haymaker finisher tracks, unlike most other finishers. This makes it 'almost' impossible to miss with it without lag involved. Every other melee finisher can be strafed out of except Chris' Haymaker.
